The Old Man Finally Does It!

Evening Attire out of the gate in the Brooklyn (Sarah K. Andrew)
10 year old Evening Attire just demolished the Greenwood field and ended his 0-10 losing streak on the road!
The new Breeders’ Cup Marathon just potentially got a whole lot spiffier!

And in track record time (2:29.90)! What a fantastic boy he is! Did you notice that when they led him into the winner’s circle he had the pose down like a pro? He knew he did good :)
Track record, that’s awesome!
Unfortunately the audio is always lousy on my Twinspires TV connection so I just turn it off + I missed the winner’s circle. Damn!!
The winner’s circle clip is available on the replay version at Twinspires.
Thanks for the tip… he looked great!
Yay, Evening Attire! His first win out of state, #1 fan Teresa @ Brooklyn Backstretch said, which makes the victory even more impressive.
I imagined you guys jumping up and down in the simulcast area during the stretch run!
Unfortunately (or not!), we were at Allen Jerkens’ barn during the race…so we totally missed it. A friend called to tell me he’d won…
All the cool things happen when I stay home!
Is it just me or did he not change his lead in the stretch? It’s hard to see, but he looks like he came out of the turn and just kept rolling home on his left lead …
I noticed that too… plus, it kind of looks like he hypnotized Barcola as he passed him!
