What a Day!

Congrats to Colonel John, Visionaire, Shakis, Porte Bonheur and Alan Garcia on great days! I’d like to particularly thank Visionaire and Desert Key as I had the win and exacta tickets in the King’s Bishop (and almost the tri!).
I’m a sure a few of my west coast pals (you know who are you) are celebrating Colonel John finally showing the rest of us that he’s not a one trick pony. But perhaps they’re not celebrating as much as trainer Eion Harty plans on celebrating tonight!
And how about Visioniare emerging from the fog, so to speak, as a classy sprinter? The best thing about the day was having 4 exciting stakes races packed with well matched horses fighting right down to the wire, unless of course you one of the lucky folks who hit some of the crazy payouts earlier in the day. For the rest of us only moderately folks, that was one damn fine day of racing!

I would really, really like to see that win photo. Because after the whisker that won Ginger Punch’s Personal Ensign, I’m blown away by how close this was.
Alan Garcia was MONEY today! I can’t believe I had Blazing Dynamo (only because my dog’s name is Blaze), but not Slambino with Channing “Mad Bomber” Hill. Two folks hit $76K superfectas in that race…for 10 cents. Wow!

Garrett Gomez was great aboard the Colonel. a huge win for that horse. Happy to see it happen. The Del Mar press box was buzzing after such a thrilling race.
Jen - they showed it on the local OTB channel, it was insane. I’ll check the replay show that I dvr, if they included it I’ll take a screen grab (or more likely just take a photo of my tv)
Val- let’s hear it for Blaze! I occasionally play variations on Ernie if the price is right.

C - I thought of you, I have to say, I was a disbeliever.
I voted on the NTRA issue but was torn among three choices. Actually, I LOVED two but had to include a third. The field is big enough—no triple or exacta wagering? I’m reporting you to the SAFC!!!
